Aiutare I Bambini Donate Funding to MoR/HfA for Healthcare :Project in Flores
In March 2006 Motorcycle Outreach was delighted to receive a donation of €8,000 in March 2006 from the Italian children’s charity, Aiutare I Bambini.
This donation will go towards the operating costs of the eRanger ambulance units operated by Health for All in Flores, and more specifically to benefit the many children in remote villages who would otherwise be unable to have access to healthcare and health education.
The eRangers will be used to reach out to the communities in those villages in order to help provide the following services:
Education about good nutrition for children, parents and community health workers, including demonstrations on how to prepare food properly
Education regarding good general hygiene, sanitation and environmental health for children
Vaccinations for children and pregnant women
Pre- and post-natal healthcare for expectant mothers and newborn babies
Transport to hospital for mothers experiencing difficult childbirth
Transportation of goods for malnourished children in the villages
Transportation of clean water where there are serious problems due to the lack of clean water in particular communities
Aiutare I Bambini have agreed to support and fund the Health for All eRangers.
